Dupont Country Club is a Private, 54 hole golf facility located in Wilmington, Delaware. The facility has two regulation 18-hole courses and one executive 18-hole golf course. The regulation courses are the DuPont Golf Course and the Nemours Golf Course. The executive course is the Montchanin Golf Course.
The Nemours Golf Course is the oldest of the three Dupont courses. Nemours was designed by Alfred H. Tull. The course opened for play in 1938.
The par-71 Nemours Course has three sets of tees, with yardage ranging from 5366 yards to 6230 yards. The course is undulating with varying lies and elevation changes. The fairways are narrow and greens are small to medium-sized. The front nine starts off with two relatively flat and short holes, but don't let your guard down, challenges lie ahead. The 3rd hole, a 416-yard par 4, offers a difficult challenge with its drastic elevation change and is followed by the 4th hole; a narrow and difficult 358-yard par 4 which is also the number 1 handicap hole. This picturesque course can lull you to comfort, but be prepared to finish strong because the 605 yard 18th hole is a challenge.
